Just ask touring Professional Andrew Tampion when he won the 2008 Challenge of Ireland Challenge Tour Event at Glasson Golf Club
To win the Challenge of Ireland Championship in 2008, Australian Andrew Tampion had to “go low” during the final round. He shot an impressive 67 including a 12 foot birdie putt on the last hole; to set up his winning score, he carded four consecutive birdies on the front nine. Tampion discovered, like all golfers who enjoy Glasson Golf Club, the truism:

The 18 hole golf course plays up to 7,215 yards from the back of the championship tees. Since it’s inception in 1993, Glasson golf course has hosted a range of regional & international championship finals. Glasson was the proud host to the European Challenge Tour in August 2007, highlighting the calibre of the golf course. One of the first Honorary Members was the Legendary Gene Sarazen. The 2008 Challenge of Ireland, presented by Glasson, will take place from 28th July to 3rd August.

The Restaurant décor is in keeping with the 1780 period family home which was converted to the Hotel Restaurant in 1993.
