Balatonfüred, one of the capitals of the Balaton area is located on the northern shore of the lake. The city has more than 2000 year's history. It is a very popular holiday resort due to its excellent geographical features, medicinal springs and unforgettable wines.

The city with a population of 13 000 has got the title of "spa city" in 1971, and became "the international city of the grape and wine" in 1987.

The course is adjacent to the Balaton-Uplands National Park, and icludes the picturesque old quarry of Örvényes which qualifies as a nature reserve. The 13th hole around the quarry will challenge the best and if you walk away with a birdie on this hole you will be in good company.
