The Mount Murray championship golf course skilfully incorporates the natural features of Manx hedging, streams and lakes to provide an enjoyable round for golfers of all standards. This championship course is a real challenge, measuring 6,356 yards with six par 3s, five par 5s and the rest being par 4s. However, variable teeing allows the par 71 course to play to a shorter length, offering a fairer challenge to both the middle and high handicap golfer.
The new Club House was opened in April 2007. It plays host to the island’s biggest pro shop, a large open plan bar, a 100 seated restaurant, a snooker room, two conference rooms and a spacious function room. The 572-yard par 5 is a fantastic opening hole, the 3rd hole has well positioned water hazards just waiting to catch out any stray shots. There are a host of challenging par 3’s on the front nine holes. The opening nine holes concludes with a generous par 5 offering a welcome birdie chance.
The back nine begins with a demanding par 4 with water hazards lining the right hand side of the hole. This hole is followed by a fantastic newly designed par 3 located just in front of the hotel and in full view of any diner’s. The 18th hole measures 595 yards and is the longest hole on the course. The long walk from tee to green provides an opportunity to admire the breathtaking views across to Douglas in the east and down to the south coast of the Island.
This championship course offers something special to all who play on this superbly designed course, and the 18-hole course is a challenge to all abilities, with each hole having its own unique hazards. The lush green trees, light and dense rough and contoured fairways complement a truly outstanding course.

The nightlife of the Isle of Man is buzzing throughout the week, but at the weekends it really heats up. Douglas is very popular for its nightlife and no matter what your tastes, from concerts to clubs you are almost sure to find what you're after here.

Shopping In Isle of Man
The main shopping area on the Island is Strand Street, located in the centre of the Island's capital Douglas.

Manx Electric Railway
For some of the finest views of the east coast take a trip on the Manx Electric Railway first opened in 1893, running orginally Douglas to Laxey and extended to Ramsey in 1899.
Its 17 miles of track are acknowledged as the longest narrow gauge vintagerailway system in the British Isles. All the trams are original, the most recent dating back to 1906, the oldest from 1893.
Ancient Sites
With a heritage as rich and diverse as the Isle of Man's it's not surprising to discover that the Island is a treasure trove of sites and archaeological significance.
Ancient sites and burial grounds have been discovered all over the Island. Carved crosses which date back to 1000 AD can be found at an old Celtic Monastery site.
