  Nightlife In Portugal

There are lots of bars and restaurants within easy reach of Praia. If you fancy a change from the bars onsite then we recommend Obidos, Fatimo and Peniche. For the more adventurous people Lisbon is approx 80 euros in a taxi.

Berlenga Island

The island of Berlenga Grande, which is 4.5 km long and up to 800 metres wide, is part of the Berlenga archipelago and lies about 12 km northwest of Peniche. It has few permanent inhabitants.

There is a regular ferry service and the day trip is an attraction which should not be missed. The island is a nature reserve (with own brand of magic).

A boat trip takes about one hour and the regular ferry departs from the harbour.

Peniche

Peniche lies on a peninsula with a perimeter of approximately 6 miles, and Cabo Carvoeiro constitutes the western part of it. The coastline is shaped by majestic reefs and magnificent bath beaches stretching over the ocean in a constant display of astonishing effects that amaze the visitors’ eyes.

Obidos

There are lots of small shops selling local specialities such as Ginja, cherry liqueur, lace and embroidery for example as well as cafes and restaurants. Petrarum Domus is a characterful bar/restaurant and is an old wine press. And just further along is Alcaide and has fantastic views of the valley.
